Merlin the Mutt's Occasional Moos: Da BEARS and Souper Bowling

Hi Everybody--

Apparently, there is a very strange breed of bear native to Chicago, which is blue and orange. The humans have been talking about them a lot. I hear that their den is in a field of soldiers, so I guess they are in the Reserves. They must be pretty fierce, because I heard they beat up some Saints on Sunday. I can be pretty tough, but I, Moo, would NOT want to take on any Saints.

I haven’t seen any of the blue bears in my backyard, but I would definitely bark and chase them if they came here. Bears are bigger even than raccoons.

Anyway, the humans are talking about putting these bears in a giant bowl, a “Souper Bowl.” (Are they going to make Bear Soup? Will the soldiers like it?) Wait...WHAT? The Bears are going to FLY to Miami? How do they DO that? Did the Saints give them wings? How BIG do those wings have to be to let a bear fly? --Wuff, I want to fly too-- Well, just as long as the Bears don’t fly over my fence and try to steal my bone from the back yard, I won't worry about it. Or I'll run in the back door and then bark real loud through the window, like it was the mailman.

I heard that there are going to be some Colts in the Souper Bowl too. I don't know what this means. (Hey, I'm just a dog.) The Bears are going to fly to Miami and ride the horse puppies? Just how does soup figure into this? Heyyyy...maybe they're all going --BOWLING--. Maybe that's it...they bowl, and then they eat soup/// I may be just a dog, but Bears look like they would be better at sending a big ball down a line than horse puppies would. I better hide all my bones..bones are great in soup//
